Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, this position leads and is accountable for the development and implementation of Infrastructure strategies, standards and best practices that aligns with industry frameworks, strategies, policies, and legislation.

This position applies architecture principles and practices to guide the organization through the business, information, process, and technology infrastructure and cyber security changes necessary to execute its strategies.

The position also leads compliance monitoring, IT security risk and vulnerability assessments, security training and supports security audits. It implements security controls and actions to resolve immediate security vulnerabilities or threats involving information access through numerous locations as well as access to information by the public.

This position works closely with IT team and manages the recovery of business systems and networks in case of disaster.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Define the IT Infrastructure strategy and IT technology road map
Define and implement IT and cyber security policies and procedures
Lead all IT sourcing projects related to the IT infrastructure.
Manage the IT infrastructure including: servers, server O/S, Hyper-V, Cloud server environments, storage, routers, switches, and all other infrastructure and systems components
Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive Azure cloud management program
Establish and continuously improve helpdesk KPIs
Ensure all employees have reliable connectivity to company resources, regardless of their location
Create and maintain Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan
Stay up to date on emerging technologies and best practices for infrastructure and related cyber security
Monitor and facilitate the adoption of software and hardware across the organization
Manage relationships and contracts with 3rd party software and hardware vendors
Lead successful team outcomes by tracking goals, participating in regular one-on-ones, and overseeing work assignments
Provide leadership for requirements gathering, short and long-term planning, and sequencing of work plan items
Create and track project budgets, ensuring alignment to the department budget
Work closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure efficient and superior business operations
Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development opportunities to your team to help drive their career and achieve their best

Job Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or relevant qualification
Minimum 5-7 years' experience managing enterprise IT Infrastructure; providing technical leadership for Virtualization, windows, exchange, and cloud technology solutions
3+ years of experience in a managerial or leadership role
Comprehensive knowledge of key operating systems (Microsoft, Linux, Mac O/S)
Experience with networking using routers, switches and firewalls including the OSI Model and TCP/IP stack
Ability to be a hands-on Manager, performing work of the team when necessary to meet commitments
Provide leadership for incident escalations and P1 outages
High degree of flexibility with the ability to adapt to a changing environment
Ability to manage large workloads, set priorities and multitask effectively
Proven track record of delivering collaborative and business-focused solutions
Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot process problems across multiple business units
Understanding of control measures to protect sensitive business information

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Experience supporting Microsoft infrastructure technologies
Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 & Azure Cloud
Experience supporting Networking/ SD-WAN
Experience supporting VMWare required
Cyber security program adoption
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management
Experience in managing procurement processes
Experience creating and managing technical budgets and forecasting anticipated expenses

Certifications / Nice to Have:
Microsoft Server technologies
Firewall, switching knowledge
Azure Certified Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator credential
Project management (CPM, PMP)
Experience with the ITIL framework
CCNA, ACSA, and/or CompTIA Network+ or A+ Certifications
Background as a System or Network Admin an asset
