Area Duty Manager

We are hiring for AREA DUTY/SERVICE MANAGER in Montreal, Quebec.

As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for **supervising and coordinating the activities of workers responsible for servicing and maintaining laundry equipment in apartment buildings in Montreal, Quebec.**
- You must be bilingual in French/English and must have a customer service background.
- You must have a valid driver's license with clean driving abstract.
- You must be in Montreal or willing to commute to Montreal.

**Responsibilities**:

- Inspect the work of subordinates to ensure company standards are being met.
- Assist service personnel in solving difficult problems.
- Check the maintenance and cleanliness of company vehicles.
- Hold monthly department meetings to discuss company policies and procedures as well as any specific issues employees may be experiencing.
- Study service schedules and estimate hours of work required to complete assigned tasks.
- Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
- Interpret work orders to workers and assign tasks.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet service schedules.
- Recommend actions to improve service methods, equipment performance and service quality.
- Propose changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of the work team.
- Analyze and solve work problems, or help workers solve them. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Maintain time and service records.
- Talk with other supervisors to coordinate the activities of different departments.
- May perform supervised worker activities.

**Requirements**:

- Speak French and English
- High school diploma or equivalent required; plus, three to six years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of employees or customers of the organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, spoken, diagram or schedule form.

In addition to the above, the Service Manager will report to Ut Thai and be responsible for the team of technicians. He will work closely with the other members of the management team to ensure that all operations are carried out efficiently and on time. He will also be responsible for communicating with clients to ensure that they are satisfied with the service and the quality of work provided by the team.
