**Salary**:
$80,000 - $120,000
**Scope of Work**:
Drywall foreman work in the residential drywall sector, specifically Hi-Rise construction. A drywall foreman looks after 4 core trade activities on the job site; metal framing, insulation, drywalling, and taping. The foreman will oversee tradespeople; the typical employee headcount can range from 5 (beginning of the project), to 40-60 tradespeople (peak). Foreman needs to purchase materials in assistance with the company’s purchasing department. Purchasing materials, scheduling deliveries and scheduling hoist availability with the builder are essential. Drywall foreman must know how to read drawings, have many years in the high-rise residential industry and have experience working with site supers, trades-people, engineers and project managers.
**Job Duties**:
- Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of construction workers engaged in framing, drywalling, insulating and taping.
- Read and interpret drawings, and correspond with the builder and engineers to ensure work is being completed to code.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other subcontractors. Efficiently direct the workforce to ensure workers’ days are full and productive. Work with the builder to ensure trades working “in front” of Torino complete their job fully before Torino tradespeople begin their work.
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Requisition materials and supplies, log hours and piece work for weekly payroll.
- Train workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
- Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions.
- Prepare work progress reports.
- Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of related apprentices, helpers and labourers.
