- Provide daily care and maintenance for animals in a boarding and a day care setting
- Follow established protocols and procedures for feeding, watering, and cleaning animal enclosures
- Monitor animal behavior and report any abnormalities or concerns to supervisor
- Assist with handling and restraining animals for various veterinary procedures
- Maintain accurate records of animal observations, treatments, and other relevant information
- Ensure that animal housing areas are kept clean and sanitary
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with animals preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary animal care practices and procedures
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Working Conditions

Please note that this position does involve working with animals in a veterinary setting. Applicants should be comfortable working in this environment.

Must be able to work with unpleasant noises and odours, and able to handle the sight of blood or bodily fluids. You may be exposed to contagious diseases and injury because of animal handling. Physical requirements are that you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend frequently, and stand for extended periods of time. Emergency or difficult situations will arise during which you must remain calm and focused.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.50-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
