**Position Overview**:
**We are seeking a motivated individual to fill a coverage position immediately. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless operations and support within our team.**

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Organize and maintain all land-related documents, including deeds, titles, surveys, and legal records.
- Conduct comprehensive title searches to verify property ownership, assess encumbrances, and collaborate with legal professionals to resolve discrepancies.
- Support the preparation of documents for land sales, leases, and acquisitions, including registration in the land registry system.
- Accurately enter land-related data into databases, ensure up-to-date records, and generate reports on transactions, permits, and property ownership.
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding land-related inquiries.
- Engage with the community in a constructive and respectful manner, communicating and informing SAY communities about land policies and laws.
- Manage accurate demographic data for the community, provide eligible voters lists for elections, and assist members with vital registrations.
- Coordinate and prepare for Lands Advisory Committee meetings, including documentation preparation and meeting minute distribution.
- Compile and deliver correspondence and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Maintains lands filing with accuracy

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Experience and knowledge of First Nation culture and working with First Nations and citizens.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of people from different backgrounds, including elders.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize.
- Data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of information.
- Intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

**Training, Education, Certification, and Experience**:

- Minimum one (1) years’ experience in an office or administrative role working with First Nation communities or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Office clerk certification or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience working with a records management system, such as Xyntax, is preferred.
- Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s license.
- Willing to obtain Indian Registry Training

**Working Conditions**:

- Working in a shared office space.
- Interacting with community members
- Fielding phone requests for records

**Important Note**:
**Work Term: Full Time, Monday
- Friday (8:00am-4:00pm) fix term coverage position.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $23.05-$26.09 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
