**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and preparation is correct before a scan while maintaining patient confidentiality by complying with PHIPA;
- Greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner, explaining forthcoming tests;
- Ensuring all quality control assessments are performed as required and that equipment will provide a qualitative image;
- Perform only diagnostic imaging procedures for those areas that you have knowledge, skills and judgment to perform effectively, safely and ethically.
- Proven interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with patients and staff, as well as problem-solving abilities;
- Operating Safety and sanitary procedures after each test on the equipment;
- Demonstrate good perception, motivation, judgment and concern for detail and accuracy;
**Required Qualifications**:

- Active membership in Sonography Canada with the following credentials: Canadian Registered Generalist Sonographer and/or ARDMS (AB, OB/GYN, BR, MSKS) or CARDUP.
- Competence in performing the following types of Ultrasound examinations: AB, OB/GYN, BR, MSKS, IPS.
