With the ever increasing demand for support and service in the auto industry, Alpha Auto Group is looking for a **Health and Safety Coordinator (Summer Contract)** to join the team. This is a summer contract position, ideal for a recent graduate or a student in pursuit of a Human Resources Diploma.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure our corporate and onsite health and safety processes are in compliance with local laws and federal safety standards.
- Collaborate with the management team to establish and implement health and safety practices.
- Audit existing health and safety practices for a variety of our locations and make necessary changes to meet compliance.
- Travel between various locations to oversee and implement necessary health and safety measures.
- Responsible for the communication of the organization's health and safety policies to all employees
- Assist with the preparation, coordination and delivery of various training materials to all employees at various levels within the organization and the Health and Safety Committee as required.

**Qualifications**
- In pursuit of or a graduate of a post - secondary Diploma in Human Resources or a similar designation
- Joint Health and Safety Committee Training Certificate
- Strong knowledge of Federal safety standards, local and other applicable laws.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and the management team.
- While not required, previous automotive experience is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour
