Some the duties and tasks listed below are for the role of Sewing & Upholstery Assistant:

- Operate industrial sewing machines to sew seat covers, back covers, and other furniture pieces using commercial grade vinyl, leather, and fabric.
- Create patterns for sewing and tweaking them as required to get the finished look desired.
- Remove old upholstery materials from existing furniture pieces.
- Operate upholstery staplers and other required hand tools for the job.
- Glue and adhere new foam and polyester wrap as required for certain projects.
- Upholster and re-upholster furniture pieces such as booth seats, booth backs, chair seats, & chair backs. Other furniture pieces are often done as well
- Learn from our experienced sewing operators and upholsterers on how to develop your craft and continuously get better.
- Depending on your skill level, other duties and responsibilities may be asked of you.
