Telecommunications Technician

NuEdge Communications is looking for an experienced telecommunication (Telecom) specialist.

This is for a permanent position. Must have some Cabling experience. Running CAT5e, CAT6, COAX & Fiber.
Tech must be familiar with wall structure and building codes.

Experience in Nortel, Avaya, Mitel & other phone systems is a good add-on.

Role:
Read plans, quotes and SOW to determine the client's requirement and needs.
Determine best route for running cables. (Computers, phones & Cameras)

Be part of a cabling team and communicate to the PM the tasks completed.

Assemble, setup and install business phone systems. (PBX) Required.

Experience Required:

- Cabling experience.
- Ability to operate and understand power tools.
- Some knowledge with the Avaya or Nortel systems.
- Knowledge with troubleshooting analogue and digital lines.
- Minor IT (Ping, Change IP, TLS, Putty, Software installation).
- A G class driver license with an acceptable driving record is required.

**Salary**: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
