About the role

The Team Lead assists in the operational functions of the store and motivates the team to meet sales goals. The Team lead reports directly to the Store Manager and provides leadership and support when the manager is unavailable. We’re a long time family business with deep roots in the community but also with an eye to expansion, there is room for career expansion, the harder you work the further you can go

Job Responsibilities:

- Help drive sales and meet weekly sales goals by watching key performance indicators such as unit per transaction and your average total dollar per transaction.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with locating products and offering your fandom knowledge
- Receive shipment, ensure inventory is accurate and merchandise the store accordingly
- Cover the sales floor and ensure that all areas are up to visual standards
- You’ll also help in the opening and closing of the store.
- Process retail sales transactions, close out the register and communicate any shortages or overages to management.
- You will listen to what customers are looking for and what is currently trending. The next big trend is just around the corner. Communicate with management based on clientele and store demands.
- Keep an eye out for potential risk for shrinkage and loss prevention.
- Organize the merchandise in the stock room and keep both the store and stock room clean.
- Ensure that products are being stocked daily and the stockroom is organized.
- You’ll train and coach new Sales Associates as needed to help them quickly get acclimated to the team
- Work in a fast-paced environment especially Comic cons which we do throughout the year and across the country and soon across the continent.
- Communicate any issues and concern to your Store Manager
- Previous experience working in a retail environment though other customer service experience is also an asset. If you love Comics, Anime, Games and pop culture in general, you’re in the right place
- Superpowers in providing customer service and selling
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Exemplary collaboration and communication skills, as well as Captain America-like leadership
- Able to stand and walk around during scheduled hours, reaching for merchandise using a ladder, step stool and pole. You’ll also have to be able to move around boxes of awesome merchandise that may weigh up to 50 pounds
- Open availability
- A post-secondary degree is an asset
- Ability to drive and your own vehicle would also be an asset as you may be required to work different locations

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
