**Experience**
- Receiving payment by cash, cheque (when authorized), credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
- Accurately count cash in Till (to be performed at start of shift, and end of shift)
- Be observant and ready to help customers or other staff, when needed
- Greet customers cheerfully and maintain a friendly atmosphere with colleagues and customers
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work area
- Able to lift grocery items weighing in excess of 20lbs.

**Skills/responsibilities to be acquired on the Job**
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customers
- Establish or identify prices of goods, and tabulate bills using calculators, or cash registers, or optical price scanners.
- Issue store coupons and redeem them when needed.
- Resolve customer complaints.
- Answer customers' questions, and provide information on procedures, and uphold policies.
- Reconcile sales revenue during a time period, with total sales.
- Offer assistance to customers to locate store items
- Sort, count, and wrap currency and coins.
- Process merchandise returns, exchanges, and Account Receivable accurately.
- Receive store products**, **stock shelves, put up labels for new items, and shelf tuckers.
- Compile and maintain non-monetary reports and records.
- Monitor the aisle to ensure that individuals do not hide items in their bags and jackets without paying for them.
- Help dust, clean or tidy the store at the end of a work-day or as you observe areas that need cleaning even before the end of the work-day.
- Offer customers, especially seniors, carry-out service at the completion of their transactions if they have too many items to carry.

**Salary**: $12.00-$14.00 per hour
