Network Analyst

Simnet, a hosted private cloud company, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Analyst to join our team. As a Network Analyst Level 2, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the network infrastructure.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor network performance and availability, ensuring uptime and performance levels meet or exceed SLAs
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide resolutions to network-related problems
- Configure and maintain network devices, switches, and firewalls
- Maintain network firewall security policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide support for network-related issues
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including data center network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network architectures, including both physical and virtual components, such as switches, routers, wireless networking & load balancers
- Continuously evaluate and improve network performance, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs

**Requirements**:

- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
- 6-8 years of experience in network operations and maintenance or similar role
- Strong technical skills in FortiGate configuration, network design, VLAN & VXLAN management, routing and switching, wireless networking, load balancing, VPN configuration, and security compliance
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical skills
- Strong soft skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Familiarity with server virtualization platforms, such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or KVM
