**Your Opportunity**:
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Conduct Trail Inspections and complete trail maintenance using basic hand tools to maintain the high quality and safety of Trails and Trail features
- Complete daily documentation of feature maintenance and required incident reports
- Be mindful of all safety hazards/concerns within the work environment and ensure all safety concerns are reported to the appropriate individuals
- Assist visitors with inquiries and maintain a safe and attractive visitor environment
- Assist with weekly mountain bike race
- Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton’s Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals
- Other duties as assigned
**Your Qualifications**:
- A strong interest in hiking, biking, and conservation
- Experience with hiking, working outdoors, and/or familiarity with plant/wildlife identification is an asset
- Experience using basic hand tools (shovels, rakes, line trimmers etc.) is an asset
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills are required
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to travel to a site not serviced by public transportation
- A valid Ontario Drivers Licence, minimum Class “G”, with a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract is required. _*Abstract completed by Conservation Halton_.
