**Your future role**

As a member of the production team, you are responsible to assemble various components to complete the assembly of the train car body.

While interacting daily with co-workers, quality inspectors, team leaders, supervisors, and managers, all activities will be performed according to EHSS procedures and rules in place.

**You’ll be responsible for**
- Complying and enforcing Alstom EHSS policies and rules
- Installing and assembling railway vehicle (car body) components using standard work procedures, hand & power tools
- Monitoring the production process and complete tally sheet on the MRP tool
- Carrying out basic testing and quality checks
- Handling, storing, packing goods and raw materials in the factory or the warehouse

**We’ll look to you for**
- To be proficient at mechanical and electrical work such as drilling, gluing, fitting as well as using test equipment
- To provide technical leadership and make recommendations on appropriate preventative and corrective actions
- To work closely with support functions to identify and propose suggestions for continuous improvement
- To cross reference technical documents and highlight any discrepancies

- Formal training combined with relevant experience in manufacturing/mechanical assembly preferred
- EHS champion
- Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints
- Strong supporter of teamwork with good communication skills
- Minimal exposure to lean manufacturing assembly process
