**JUNIOR LINE COOK at Le Tambour Tavern**

French inspired restaurant and bar in Hamilton's James St. N.

**Salary Range**

$18-$22 per hour

plus gratuities

**Reports to**

General Manager, Kitchen Manager

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for ensuring all food is to the highest quality and served in a timely manner
- Ensure all prep, and all dishes are cooked and delivered to an excellent standard.
- Follow kitchen manager on menu prep and execution with changes as agreed.
- Keep inventory of station and liaise with kitchen manager and prep cook on what is needed for next day prep.
- Ensure stock is always of highest quality and that we have what is needed to fulfil the menu daily through clear and consistent communication to the kitchen manager and prep cook.
- Follow recipes and instructions as directed by the kitchen manager.
- Bring menu ideas to the team.
- Help facilitate the creation of schedules by communicating time-off with written notice to the kitchen manager and general manager.
- To ensure the hygiene standard of the premises remain high, following cleaning schedules and company policy.
- Complete checklists as required by the general manager and/or kitchen manager.
- Cooperate with feedback as required for improving systems and operations.
- Ensure all training is provided as necessary.
- Follow all health and safety protocols.
- Professional, clear and kind communication (employee handbook code of conduct)

**Qualifications**

2+ years kitchen experience

Food Handler's Cert

Clear and kind communication

**Working Conditions**

Long hours and standing for extended periods

Exposed to extreme hot or cold

May be required to spend hours by stoves, oven, open flame

May have to spend hours packing inventory into a fridge and/or freezer

You may be working with chemicals or hazardous material (cleaning supplies)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
