Location: Aspire Speech clinic at 20 Ida Street in Bracebridge, Ontario, online remote therapy, and travel to communities and schools in Muskoka-Parry Sound

Hours: Flexible hours Monday to Friday

**Salary**: $65 to $105 per hour based on experience plus $2,500 signing bonus distributed over the first six months

**Key responsibilities**:

- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessment to children and adults with suspected communication difficulties in the following areas: articulation, language, fluency, motor speech, voice, and pragmatic/social communication. Knowledge and experience with a range of developmental disabilities including autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, and fetal alcohol syndrome.
- Provide resources to parents and adult clients to help them better understand the etiology and physiology of their communication difficulties or impairment or their child’s communication difficulties.
- Provide direct and indirect therapy in clinic and online to preschool and school-aged children who present with a broad range of communication difficulties, including creating and supporting augmentative and alternative communication.
- Provide therapy to children in Indigenous communities in Muskoka-Parry Sound and across Ontario both in person and virtually.
- Administer screening protocols.
- Create, follow, and adapt treatment plans for individuals and group sessions.
- Develop and lead engaging therapy sessions and care-giver workshops.
- Assist in the development of online content, future programming, and service offerings.
- Consult and collaborate with community partners including resource teachers, schools, local children’s treatment centers, etc.
- Maintain knowledge of current practices and equipment in speech-language pathology.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in speech-language pathology.
- Member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
- Membership with the Ontario Association of Speech-Language Pathologist and Audiologists (OSLA) or Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) preferred.
- Experience working with preschool and school-aged children.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities an asset.
- Demonstrate flexibility and time-management skills to manage an ever-changing caseload.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent assessment and intervention skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team with other disciplines.
- Comfort with technology, including Zoom video-conferencing technology and Microsoft Office.
- Vulnerable sector check.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Part-time hours: 14-35 per week

**Salary**: $65.00-$105.00 per hour
