**What will you work on?**

The Archivist, Specialist will be responsible for implementing archival practices and services in support of the ongoing preservation and management of physical, born-digital records and cultural materials across Spin Master’s global offices.

**How will you create impact?**

**Archival Management**
- Continue to implement the archival strategy including the intake and storage processes, deaccession criteria and guidelines for access for artifacts and born-digital records.
- Streamline intake process by consulting with creative and engineering departments on property creation workflow to create a collections calendar.
- Performing hands-on archival duties including preparing and packing artifacts for long-term storage.
- Pursue training opportunities on creating a strategy for digital archival materials.
- Research viable digital platforms and databases to ensure consistency in the storage and preservation of vital digital assets.
- Maintain and regularly inventory Digital PR assets, corporate culture assets and other born digital items documenting the company’s history on a weekly basis.
- Plan and administer digitization strategies where appropriate to capture creative records in a variety of formats as well as to facilitate cataloging of materials.
- Maintain global museum partnerships, including creating donation packages of Spin product and vital archival materials, consulting on Spin-related exhibitions, philanthropic and marketing opportunities.
- Lead projects to ensure consistent transfer of knowledge and vital assets for new acquisitions.

**Access**
- Take a lead role in educating, training, directing and aiding staff with respect to archival procedures, material management and preservation.
- Assist staff in accessing archival materials and/or respond to internal research requests pertaining to archived materials.
- Assist in identifying, collecting, and preparing records and physical assets for litigation purposes as needed.

**Corporate Culture**
- Manage the branding activities within the headquarters including the ordering of product and design of libraries and display shelves.
- Lead projects to ensure consistent transfer of knowledge and vital assets for new acquisitions.
- Take a lead in project planning for global office moves.
- Assist Archivist with office closures as needed.
- Where necessary, assist the Archivist with the management of the video wall.
- Where necessary, assist with data entry and/or updating of records.
- Other duties as assigned.

**What are your skills and experience?**
- 1-3 years previous experience as an archivist, preferably in a related industry or corporate setting.
- Formal education or significant related experience in archives.
- Experience storing, maintaining, and preserving physical artifacts including delicate or climate-sensitive products and other materials.
- Demonstrate clear knowledge of tools for archival preservation, preservation standards for records, artifacts, and born-digital items.
- Demonstrate clear knowledge of archival standards and compliance-related practices.
- Demonstrate ability to present archival concepts in clear and concise ways to staff with different knowledge backgrounds
- Computer software skills (including MS Office Suite, archival system software and Adobe Suite of products including Acrobat and Photoshop) and a high comfort level cataloging and working with digital media formats including but not limited to photos, videos, and digital design files.
- Experience handling confidential and/or sensitive corporate materials.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Flexibility appropriate for a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with desire to participate actively in problem-solving.
- Knowledge of and passion for toys, product design, entertainment, and gaming.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 40lbs related to storing and managing archival materials
