**Summary**:
This position provides janitorial functions for the facility. The individual in this position will be required to fully understand the purpose of plant sanitation and cleaning along with having the ability to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates. It is imperative the person(s) conduct themselves in a manner that ensures alertness and constant awareness of the safe operation of equipment and its surroundings.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Cleans all offices and meeting rooms using necessary equipment such as vacuum cleaner, brooms and brushes, etc.
- Ensures proper inventories of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Cleans and sanitizes restrooms in all areas of the plant.
- Cleans lunchrooms and hallways and mops and waxes floors.
- Ensures attendance and participation in training activities appropriate to the position and to incorporate acquired skills and knowledge.
- Ensures no injury to self or others by following safe work practices and policies.
- Ensures self-compliance with Company policies and procedures.
- Ensures the interface with team members and other support groups is conducted in a participative management style conducive with operational goals.
- Conducts oneself in a professional manner and ensures appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job function and while representing the company.
- Ensures that additional accountabilities as may be required by management be handled in a manner necessary to meet operational and Food Group Standards.

**Typical Education**:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

**Other Information**:

- Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must have the ability to write on forms related to the position.
- Must be able to read cleaning material labels and cleaning instructions.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to operate cleaning equipment, vacuums and waxing machine.
- Must have an acceptable attendance record.
- Must have an acceptable safety record.
- Must be able to work in extreme conditions.
