**Position Overview**

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Field Records Inspector (Pre-Inspector) will be responsible for accurately locating underground Gas facilities and ensuring compliance with regulations and documentation procedures.
Please note that this is a 6-month contract position.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Locate underground Gas facilities accurately using utility mapping software and electronic locating equipment. - Ensure compliance with Enbridge regulations.
- Understand, prioritize, and respond to work requests dispatched by office.
- Understand and manipulate utility records (review identify and interpret).
- Review and interpret schematics/blueprints/composites.
- Effectively identify and document utility location and follow proper documentation procedures.
- Identify potential safety concerns for installation crews and public.
- Ensure operational deadlines are met.
- Manage large volume of work in a timely and efficient manner.
- Operate and maintain company equipment and vehicle in good order.
- Complete audits/verification of field records and installations.
- Perform locate verification for crews.
- Perform Private locates of various facilities.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
- Repetitive movement (data entry).
- Able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Prolonged sedentary positioning.
- Travel to site locations will be required.
- Working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to carry up to 40lbs.
**Required Knowledge and Experience**
- Graduate from the Civil Engineering/ Technologist / Construction Management programs. - Experience in the construction industry and/or utility locates is a strong asset.
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
- Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.
- Advanced computer skills - MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook).
- Ability to learn job specific software.
- Conform and embrace AECON safety policies and procedures.
- Strong communication skills - oral and written.
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with others as a team and interact with builders, homeowners, and utility representative in a professional manner.
- Ability to carry up to 40lbs.
- DPT 200 is an asset.
- Valid Ontario (G) driver’s license with a clean driving record and access to own vehicle.
