Edmonton, Canada Youth Empowerment & Support Services Full time

We are currently looking for Youth Workers (Relief) to join our team at YESS

This position is for Casual / Relief positions. You would have the ability to pick up shifts throughout the week as available (up to 80 hours per pay period). However, you must be available to work a minimum of 2 shifts from Monday to Sunday 8am to 6pm.

**Responsibilities include**:
Direct supervision of youth accessing the Armoury Resource Centre

Individual assessments and referral to appropriate supports and services

Completing documentation in a timely, accurate, and professional documentation (i.e., Contact Notes, Incident Reports, etc.)

Assisting youth with basic needs

Involve clients in goal planning, help motivate youth, and find ways around barriers

Ensuring Program and agency spaces are cleaned to agency standards

Other housekeeping duties as required

**Qualifications**:
A Certificate, diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work or other directly related Human Services is mandatory. CYCAA certification or other related certification will be considered an asset

A minimum of two years’ experience in the human services field working with youth facing difficult realities

**Other requirements**:
Clear police clearance (CRIM) and a Child and Youth Intervention (CYIM) checks, both obtained within the last six months.

Valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract.

Must also be knowledgeable and respectful of the values, beliefs and practices of indigenous people and other cultural groups.

Basic computer skills

Experience working with ETO is preferred

Training in First Aid, and/or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention will be considered an asset.
