Position: Estimator

A leader in the field of flooring in Ontario and Quebec, Bousada sells and installs flooring finishes and other surfaces in the commercial, institutional, and residential sectors.

**Job Description**:
Under the supervision of the director of estimation, your responsibilities are;
- Take control of all communications for tenders/projects assigned to you.
- Analyze tender documents, plans, specifications, and addendums
- Evaluate and complete quantity takeoffs of architectural and/or design plans for each project using flooring specific software
- Contact material suppliers for up to date and project specific pricing
- Estimate all project costs (materials, labor, equipment, etc.)
- Prepare and submit all tender documents required, ensuring their compliance and according to the prescribed schedule
- Support the sales team in adjustments, modifications, estimates to aid in closing and signing of contracts
- Perform the analysis of plans and specifications, to propose cost / profitable project alternatives, where applicable
- Support of operations in a transfer of project information and overview of contracted projects
- Manage your time and schedule in order to complete assigned tasks in the time frames and deadlines given

Profile of a estimator at Bousada:

- Ability to read and understanding of architectural plans and specifications.
- Have an education background in estimation, architecture, engineering or in a field relevant to construction.
- 1 to 3 years experience in the construction field.
- Strong mathematical and computer skills.
- Time management, planning and scheduling skills to be able to handle multiple projects.
- Great sense of responsibility and organization.
- Team spirit.
- Proficient communication and writing skills in English.
