Our manufacturing plant is based in Port Coquitlam and houses our plastic extrusion and conversion facilities, which are supported by a machine shop specializing in tool & die design and production.

**About the Opportunity**

KostKlip is seeking a motivated machinist who wants to further their career and education in tool & die manufacturing. You would be joining an experienced team of machinists on an evening shift from 2:00pm to 10:30pm. The training period would require you be available to work the day shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm for a period of 3-6 months. Responsibilities include but are not limited to running a CNC mill, wire EDM, manual lathe and mill, precision grinder, along with other common machine shop tools.

Machinists Apprentices are welcome to apply, we have a well-developed program to support apprentice training and schooling.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Set up/operate CNC machinery.
- Interpret and understand drawings and other furnished specifications
- Inspect parts to ensure conformance to specification and drawing tolerances
- Safely moving parts and materials with the use of overhead cranes
- Ensure machines are maintained
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Comply with company safety and work policies
- Collaborate with other team members to solve technical issues and maintain production schedule
- Take pride in your work
- Completion of related CNC Machinist training/academic program or significant relevant experience
- Ability to use measuring instruments and hand tools
- Competence with common machine shop ancillary equipment such as pedestal grinders, drill presses, belt sanders, etc.
- Proficient communication skills
- Attention to detail and acceptance of responsibility and accountability
- Confidence and ability to work independently AND as a team member to support our goals and culture

**Salary**: $25.00-$37.00 per hour
