Schott’s Lake Conference & Resort is a year-round recreational resort located just fifteen minutes west of Sundre, AB and consists of a restaurant, conference centre, motel, cabins & family RV campground. We have the following full-time employment opportunity available:
**GENERAL MAINTENANCE WORKER**

DUTIES:

- Performs minor building, electrical, plumbing, painting and equipment repair services to ensure the optimum functioning of the restaurant, motel, campground, cabins and equipment in a timely & efficient manner.
- Ensure the buildings and grounds are safe for our guests and staff by performing rounds on a regular basis
- Conducts regular preventative maintenance checks.
- Handle emergency maintenance and repairs & advises Management if unable to perform tasks so trades can be scheduled. Manage trades where required.
- Identifies and investigates deficiencies and equipment malfunctions and take appropriate corrective action.
- Maintain, service, clean and properly store equipment. Ensure tools and equipment are in safe, clean and good working order.
- Operate maintenance equipment safely to avoid accidents.
- Plan and help implement a daily, weekly, monthly and annual schedule of preventative maintenance activities to ensure the restaurant, motel, campground, cabins and equipment are safe and in good working order.

REQUIRED:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance worker
- Demonstrated skills in light carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting and equipment maintenance
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to perform required physical duties which may include bending, kneeling, reaching, standing for extended periods of time, climbing ladders, lifting and carrying boxes, tools and equipment
- Valid class 5 driver’s license - Nice to have class 3
- Skid steer experience
- Ability to work independently
- Able to work day/evening shift 7 days a week as required (includes holidays)
- Reliable vehicle to get to work as we are located in a rural area

Schott’s Lake Conference & Resort has a friendly, small town community atmosphere. Work schedule is somewhat flexible and negotiable. There is opportunity for this role to evolve into year round employment. We are seeking an individual who is friendly, outgoing and professional. Clean drivers abstract and current criminal police information check (CPIC) will be required prior to employment.
