**Summary**:We are seeking an experienced and professional Maintenance Team Member to contribute to the maintenance of our school and church facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring our building and grounds are safe, functional, and welcoming for our congregation, students, and community.

**Areas of Responsibility**:
**Facility Maintenance**
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs of the school and church’s buildings, grounds, and equipment. While this includes plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, carpentry, and general upkeep, some of these tasks may be contracted out.
- Work on seasonal landscape duties such as snow removal and lawn maintenance.
- Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of staff and personnel on our site.
- Address school and church maintenance requests as they arise; work on larger scale maintenance and improvement projects.

**Event Support**
- Coordinate facility setup and teardown to support events and activities, including some after hours and weekend ones, ensuring facilities are prepared and equipped as needed.

**Team Member**
- Participate in weekly staff devotions and see this job as a means to serve God and our community.
- Work in harmony with other maintenance staff, school and church staff, volunteers, sub-contractors, summer students, and other temporary workers as required.

**Emergency Response**
- Be available for emergency alarm response and maintenance situations and provide prompt resolution to minimize disruption.

**Safety and Compliance**
- Ensure the school and church facilities comply with all local, provincial, and federal safety regulations.

**Administration**
- Complete time sheets and other paperwork in a timely manner.
- Track expenses, negotiate with vendors, and ensure cost-effective solutions for maintenance needs.

**Qualifications**:

- Willing to agree to a personal lifestyle commitment incongruence with a personal relationship with Christ.
- Willing to attend Calvary Community Church.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
- Experience working in a school and/or a church or similar community-based environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, drywalling, painting, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Proven experience in working as a team member or independently.
- Excellent problem solving skills and communication skills.
- Displays a high level of initiative and commitment to excellence.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and be flexible in nature.
- Ability to spend up to eight hours a day in a physically demanding job including walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting, tool and equipment usage and more.
