**The Role**

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Responds to queries about system functionality and provides problem resolution
- Monitors ServiceDesk queue and triages tickets accordingly
- Participates in problem reviews, resolution and troubleshoots problems.
- Provides ongoing system maintenance and monitoring to ensure adherence to defined SLAs
- Performs root cause analysis of recurring issues and remediate or provide recommendations toward permanent solutions
- Continually drives process improvements by identifying opportunities for automation
- Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of plans to ensure the continuation of critical operations in the event of a disaster or interruption.
- Provides off-hours support as part of an on-call rotation along with occasional weekend work

Builds and maintains relationships with business units
- Develops and maintains effective and professional working relationships with IT team members
- Maintains ongoing communication with business users as well as negotiating and managing client expectations

Participates in software analysis/development and system configuration changes
- Collaborates with team members on design and impact of proposed changes.
- Provides estimates on work effort of assignments
- Converts requirements into program specifications.
- Designs, programs, and configures system and environment setup
- Creates unit and system test plans and runs tests, coordinates User Acceptance Testing and revises programs as necessary.
- Responsible for writing system documentation including design docs, implementation checklists and plans, operating and on-call procedures as defined by the methodology.
- Participates in code and implementation reviews
- Provides ad-hoc reports and data extracts.
- Participates in reviews of analysis, design and code
- Provides input to business analysts and quality assurance analysts activities
- Provides external service providers and vendors with information on interface requirements, MCAP processes, and MCAP standards, etc.

What You Bring To The Team*
- 1-4 years of experience with full-cycle development ability
- MS SQL, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, SharePoint, ASP.Net, C#, Visual Studio, TFS, XML/XSD, WPF, MS Entity Framework, Windows Server
- iSeries AS/400 toolkit (CL, Cobol, Query/400, DB2, WebSphere, IFS), (nice to have)
- Azure DevOps, VSTS, and Git (nice to have)
- Understands software development lifecycle and the practices and procedures of software development including Agile Development Methodology
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, along with the ability to interpret client needs.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external business partners and clients
- Self-starter, results-oriented with proven success in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks/projects of varying complexity in the context of business operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of change and competing priorities
- Ability to write high-quality documentation
- Computer Science Degree or equivalent
