Port Burwell, Canada The Elgin Military Museum Full time

The Museum of Naval History - HMCS OJIBWA is looking for a volunteer who has a passion for photography to assist in the creation of content for our social media. The volunteer would be required to take photographs of events hosted at the Museum as well as ordinary happenings to create eye-catching images to display on our social media webpages. The volunteer would be encouraged to create a write up for the social media post, but it is not required of the position. Professional photography equipment is not required
- using a smartphone is acceptable as long as the pictures are good quality.

**The successful volunteer possesses**:

- Creativity
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to adhere to public use guidelines
- The ability to work independently
- Excellent photography skills

**Requirements**:

- Transportation to and from the Museum
- The successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Screening
- A device capable of taking high quality photographs
- Able to commit a minimum of 5 hours per week to volunteering
- Experience using Microsoft Word (if interested in typing up written content to accompany images)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months
Part-time hours: 5 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required
