**Cabinet Maker & Installer**

Location: 245 Moonstone Rd. East Oro-Medonate

Job type: Permanent/ Full-time

Moonstone Custom Cabinetry is currently looking to add a responsible and experienced Cabinet Maker & Installer to our growing team.
- Construct and assemble cabinets, millwork, furniture, and miscellaneous items as instructed.
- Work with woodworking machinery, such as sliding table saw, planers, CNC machine, sander, router, shaper, jointer, domino, cabinet table saw, jig saw, edge bander.
- Work with different materials, such as but not limited to epoxy, melamine, solid wood, MDF, veneer etc.
- Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
- Be exact in measurements and markings so that materials will be used efficiently, and the projects will meet budgetary restrictions.
- Wood finishing, sanding, and staining.
- Install the appropriate hardware, such as hinges, slides, and handles
- Perform cabinet installations, with the ability to understand and carry out written, illustrated, or oral instructions.
- Scribe panels and filler pieces to fit cleanly in place.
- Repairing and adjust elements of cabinets that have been sent in for servicing.
- Installing cabinets, such as kitchen cabinets, built ins, shelves and closets.
- Ensure work is completed as requested by Moonstone Custom Cabinetry and is to their standards while working under time constraints to meet specific timelines.
- Clean and repair all equipment necessary for your work.
- Practice good housekeeping to ensure a safe and non-cluttered workspace and disposing of materials.
- Participate in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment.
- Collaborate with other carpenters, journeymen, and supervisors to complete projects
- Inspect each completed item to ensure that it has been constructed accurately, and that the necessary finishes have been applied.
- Always abide by our code of conduct, policies, and procedures.
- Commute effectively between job sites and the shop.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends if requested.
- Other duties as required.

**Work Experience Requirements**
- Minimum three (2) years woodworking/cabinet making and installation experience
- CNC operation experience is an asset.
- The ability to tow a trailer is an asset.

**Educational Requirements**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a training program or apprenticeship will be advantageous.

**Required Skills**:

- Must have a positive attitude and be punctual, polite, courteous with the ability to work with others.
- Must demonstrate cabinetry expertise and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or in a team as needed.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
- Intermediate computer & blueprint reading skills.
- Ability to clearly scribe and fit panels and filler into place.
- Must have experience using hand and power tools.
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination, physical strength and stamina with the ability to lift heavy material such as sheet material, etc.
- Clean drivers abstract, Class G driver’s license with a reliable means of transportation.

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
