**Now Hiring**:High Performance Staff Coach

Ottawa TFC is a national youth licensed soccer club located on the east side of Ottawa,
Ontario. We are one of only 3 nationally licensed organizations in the national capital region,
and the only MLS affiliate club in the area. We run programs for all levels and ages from 4 to
senior adults, recreational all the way to the top level of youth play in the province, with an
annual membership of around 3000 members. We are a values based organization, where
culture comes first, and our aim is to develop great people and players in our own community.

We are looking for a qualified, energetic and ambitious High Performance staff coach to join
coaching, primarily in our high performance programs with kids aged anywhere from 10
through 17.

**Overview and Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Technical Director (TD), this position will provide professional coaching
services to the Ottawa TFC High Performance and Academy streams. This will include
on-field coaching commitments with the High Performance teams at U13-U18 (currently
competing in the O.P.D.L), as well as working within the grassroots divisions between U8 and
U12 on a regular basis. A large portion of this role is on the field, with some administrative and
organizational responsibilities associated with the divisions you will be coaching in.

**Coaching Duties Include**:

- Working as the lead coach of an O.P.D.L. team within the club. This includes:

- Designing and leading training sessions up to 5 times weekly, within an annual

periodized training curriculum. At Ottawa TFC, these age groups train after
school between 4:00 and 6:00 pm.
- Attending and coaching all games and meetings with these teams.
- Organizing all staff, parent, and player requirements within the teams you coach.
- Traveling with and coaching the team at all league and tournament functions
- throughout the year.- Working as a staff coach within one of the grassroots divisions in the U8-U12
- categories. This includes:
- Organizing teams and squads prior to each season for one of the divisions
- (U7-U8 Boys or girls, U9-U10 Boys or Girls, U11-U12 Boys or girls)- Leading a team of coaches to manage your division.
- Attending all training sessions within the relevant divisions (typically from
- 6:00-7:30 pm, up to 3 times weekly).- Attending and coaching games as required within your divisions as required

(typically once a week)

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Attending all relevant staff or operational meetings to help with the planning and

execution of each season and session.
- Assisting as needed with large events within the organization, such as tournaments,

parent meetings, and other club-wide events.
** Required Qualification**:

- Coaching experience/qualifications
- Possesses all minimum requirements to coach competitive youth soccer in
- Ontario- Possess a B-Diploma for coaching youth (or equivalent/higher).
- Coaches enrolled in the course currently will be considered as well.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience coaching high level youth soccer.
- Playing experience:

- University, college, semi-pro or professional playing experience is preferred.
- Canadian and/or US youth coaching experience is preferred.
- Fluent in English and/or French.
- Demonstrated excellence in communication:

- Excellent and timely written communication skills for liaising with coaches,

managers, parents and staff.

**Compensation**:

- Commensurate with experience, qualification, and agreed work-load, the position will

carry an annual salary range between $45,000.00 and $65,000.00.
