Weldco Heavy Industries is currently recruiting a** Journeyperson Welders **for the Fort MacKay location on a _2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off rotation, 12-hour shifts_. Reporting to the Shop Foreman your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following;
**What you will do**:
Repair/rebuild of large mining equipment including; heavy haul truck boxes, dozer blades, shovel clam/backwall dippers

**What you bring to the position**:

- Proficiency in all position use of: GMAW, FCAW, SMAW; all sizes of weld wire
- Reading and interpretation of blueprints
- Proficient in the use of oxy/fuel cutting equipment, electric welding machines
- Active participation in Safety Programs
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment at all times
- Preference will be given to applicants that have worked on Oil Sands sites and demonstrate sustained safety consciousness

**Your qualifications**:

- Certified Red Seal or Alberta Journeyperson Welder
- One year of experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
- Valid fall protection & elevated work platform certificate
- Additional valid safety certifications is an asset
