We are looking to hire a qualified, skilled, and experienced full-time **Field Service Technician** to provide technical support to our customers in the metal roll forming industry.

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our machinery and equipment at customer sites. They must have experience in field service and be able to travel an average of three out of four weeks.
- **Key Duties & Responsibilities**_
- Assembling, installing, and commissioning roll forming and metal processing machinery and equipment at our customer locations.
- Assisting with the programming of automation control systems and the testing and/or commissioning of roll forming equipment.
- Performing routine and preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues with machinery, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Conducting repairs and replacing defective parts to restore machinery to full operational status.
- Providing internal training to Samco staff on the assembly, setup, testing and use of automation control systems and roll forming equipment.
- Lending technical support to customers in the metal roll forming industry; and working with customers to resolve technical issues and provide solutions.
- Furnishing training to customers on the operation, maintenance, and safety procedures of the roll forming equipment.
- Keeping technical documentation related to automation control systems and roll forming equipment in order; maintaining accurate records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- **Qualifications**_
- Five years experience with automation control systems and roll forming.
- Previous experience in field service or a related field, e.g., manufacturing, technical support, programable logic controllers.
- Training and education as an electrician, millwright, tool and die engineering technologist is an asset.
- Proficiency operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
- Strong technical background, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and mechanical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to travel an average of three out of four weeks, hold a valid passport and driver’s license, and be able to travel internationally with no restrictions to travel into the USA.
