Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada’s first full-scale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion, and are looking to expand our manufacturing team with the addition of a Traveling Electronics Installer. A successful applicant will work independently or with a small team to support all national and international facilities to solve technical issues. Primary tasks include setting up facility computer equipment, installing systems, performing new facility installations, and ensuring that facilities are running at optimal levels. This is a full-time, permanent position.

**The Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Hardware Installation & Configuration_
- Aid in installation of new facilities, including traveling on-site
- Testing components in person and remotely to ensure proper functionality
- Assembling Windows computers and other electronic equipment including network devices, racks, circuit boards, and others
- Ensuring accompanying documentation is completed up to standards
- Updating software and firmware in person and remotely
- Participate in the development and updates to technical documentation
- Train/set up an effective training process for new employees
- Facility Support_
- Working in the support office remotely helping facilities
- Troubleshooting and providing guidance to our support team as required
- Quality Assurance_
- Completing documentation of support calls and help desk requests accurately
- Ensuring to communicate effectively with facility staff at all levels of understanding
- Providing helpful and insightful support to facilities while maintaining a level of professionalism
- Following up on issue resolution to ensure that the problem is not repeated
- Documenting repeat issues with appropriate team members at a higher level

**The Qualifications**:

- Diploma or certificate in electronic engineering technology or equivalent
- Demonstrated proficiency in hardware troubleshooting
- Demonstrated proficiency in recognizing software and hardware issues
- Experience with wiring such as CAT5 is strongly preferred
- Experience with network troubleshooting is strongly preferred
- Willingness to work irregular hours, primarily evenings and weekends
- Willingness to to work as early as 7am and as late as 1am, depending on shift
- Willingness to provide support on-call when other members are unavailable
- Access to reliable transportation during the mentioned hours
- Must be able and willing to travel by air to locations throughout Canada for a minimum of 30 weeks a year
