BC Tree Fruits Cooperative is currently looking for a motivated and skill minded individual as a Maintenance Foreman to work collaboratively with our Maintenance Department to oversee all installation, repair and upkeep of operational equipment and the company’s facilities and will be the one to ensure that colleagues under their supervision have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget. This position is based out of our Oliver BC location.

**The Job**:

- Guide the facilities to reduce technical stoppages in equipment or areas of common occurrence.
- Ensure the systematic review of all lines, processes, and utilities critical to the business and those where failure can have an unacceptable impact on food or personnel safety, environment, or compliance with the law
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of team members: Trades Helpers and Millwrights, and provide periodic feedback to ensure development
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
- Monitor plant/equipment trends to ensure best possible operation and reduction of planned/unplanned downtime
- Propose and monitor key performance indicators in accordance with Best Maintenance Practices
- Conduct regular inspections of plants to seek out potential problems and to solicit operator feedback
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
- Other duties as required

- Ability to organize, coordinate, and direct users and teams
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity
- Knowledge and understanding of the cost drivers of Maintenance in manufacturing operations
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of electrical systems
- Safety conscious attitude
- Experience in a unionized environment
- Journeyman & Interprovincial Tradesperson from a vocational school or Bachelor’s degree in business administration or facility management is an asset
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Project Management considered an asset
- Knowledge of Utilities, Facilities or Production equipment maintenance or direct experience with Maintenance Refrigeration and/or supervision preferred
- Must complete a driver’s abstract and possess reliable transportation

The salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year.
