Cook- Cowboy Cookout

**We are looking for a grill master to join our team at Banff Trail Riders for our BBQ Cowboy Cookouts.**

This position is ideal for someone who wants to escape the typical kitchen environment to work in a smaller team, outdoors and at a slower pace.

Cookouts are located down Sundance Canyon and is accessed by horseback, wagon or truck.

Our cooks at Banff Trail Riders will be preparing meals at our Stables location and provided a cooked lunch/dinner daily at the Cowboy Cookout location along the Bow River - West of the Banff townsite. Guests will arrive to this site via horseback or horse-drawn wagon to enjoy their meal and informative experience
- provided by our Horseback Trail Guides, Wagon Drivers, and Cooks. Each day, our team of cooks will prepare and organise groceries for the overnight backcountry horseback rides as well as cater to up to 60 people for our Cowboy Cookout product. Recognising dietary requirements and supporting our customers with their needs is crucial in this role.

**This position will require you to**:

- Prepare buffet style meals and use a BBQ to grill steaks for guests for our twice daily cookouts.
- Clean and maintain kitchen and guest areas.
- Aiding in receiving and inventory from suppliers.
- Interact with guests in a fun professional manner.

**Qualifications**:

- 1+ years cooking experience.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to work well with others and independently.
- An interest in the Western lifestyle.
- Valid first aid and Drivers License.

Limited Staff accommodation may be available upon request.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 3-5 months

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 60 per week
