Located in South Vancouver BC, and reporting to the Area Human Resources Manager, this position is responsible for the provision of human resources generalist services for the Lehigh Hanson businesses in BC and the Pacific Northwest. This position will also have a dotted line report to the Pacific Northwest Area Human Resources Manager. Travel through the area of responsibility will be required.

**What you’ll get to do**
- Provide human resources services including compensation, benefits, employee relations (investigations), performance management, recruitment, training and development and relocation support
- Advise and counsel management in the areas of Company policy, employment standards, provincial and federal employment requirements, and related legislation
- Regularly provide on-site business support to management and employees
- Counsel internal customers at all organizational levels on work related issues at all levels
- Participate in regional HR initiatives to achieve corporate strategic goals
- Guide and advise internal customers on work related issues and provide recommended resolutions

**Essential Experience and Skills**
- Bachelor’s degree with a Human Resources focus or equivalent post-secondary in combination with HR work experience
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence effectively within all organizational levels
- Knowledge of provincial employment legislation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Possess Class 5 drivers’ license

**Preferred Experience and Skills**
- CPHR/SPHR designation is an asset
- Knowledge of Washington State and Oregon State Labor Laws a plus

**Work Environment**

This position is primarily located an office but requires conducting business in conditions that may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, dusty environment and moving mechanical equipment
