**Position**:SUPERVISOR - Temporary**

**Department**:HOME SERVICES**

**Hours**: 35 hours per week - days, some evenings, and weekends

**Position Overview**:
To provide HCA personnel management through support, and supervision. The supervisor supervises a team of health care aides, ensuring that quality client care is provided.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise workers: communicate job expectations to develop positive worker outcomes, plan, monitor, and assess job results, conduct annual performance evaluations, provide coaching or progressive discipline to improve job performance.
- Develop personal growth opportunities for team members.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new workers.
- Assist with the coordination of special events - planning, coordination, development, implementation, and evaluation of all events.
- Support workers on wellbeing-related matters, workloads, or other worker concerns and situations negatively impacting worker wellbeing.
- Respond to crisis situations.
- Prepare and submit reports.
- Assess program strengths and identify areas for improvements.
- Organize and deliver programs and activities.
- Ensure that client services are delivered consistently and seamlessly.
- Ensure that services are provided in a manner that respects diversity and inclusion.
- Investigate incidents and concerns; identify, implement, and monitor appropriate corrective actions.
- Protect the health and safety of workers, communicate hazards, monitor worker compliance with safe work procedures and legislative requirements, report all safety concerns and incidents.
- Completes unusual occurrence reports and root cause analysis.
- Supports schedulers with scheduling duties, provides back-up assistance and problem-solve complex scheduling challenges.
- Conducts field visits with health care aides, clients, and clinical care coordinators.
- Approves overtime according to accepted processes.
- Deploys necessary resources to ensure that all shifts are covered, and client care is maintained. Plans and schedules workers according to client needs, organizational processes, and funding requirements.
- Conducts team meetings.
- Monitors worker qualifications and assigns required training.

**Qualifications**:

- A degree or diploma with a major in business administration, health care administration, nursing, or practical nursing. Current, active registration with a professional licensing body (CLPNA, CARNA) is considered an asset.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the health care field.
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to professionally communicate verbally and in writing with HCAs and team members.
- Excellent communications skills including ability to document clearly and accurately, active listening, convey verbal and written messages respectfully and professionally.
- Excellent organizational skills, including time management, ability to manage multiple demands, and effectively prioritize
