**Position Summary**:
Please note: This is a casual position. The successful applicant will be required to provide coverage throughout the City of Guelph, Dufferin County, and Wellington County as needed.

This position will support WDG Public Health with the movement of supplies across offices and into the community. In addition, this position is responsible for maintenance of community sharps receptacles. From time to time, this position will assist with minor repairs and upkeep of WDG Public Health facilities.

Areas of Responsibility:

- Support the weekly delivery of vaccines and material between WDG Public Health offices and the community.
- Configure loads to align with delivery schedule and ensure products are safe and secure.
- Adjust schedules for unexpected delays and notify customers of revised delivery dates/times.
- Responsible for monitoring appropriate temperatures and procedures (cold chain) when delivering vaccines.
- Responsible for the maintenance and emptying of community sharps receptacles within the City of Guelph, Chancellor’s Way Office, Orangeville Office, Fergus Office, and East Wellington.
- Responsible for supporting teams as required with shifting supplies from WDG Public Health offices to community locations and back, supporting the set up of clinics as required.
- Support the Supervisor, Facilities and Safety as required with assisting and maintaining WDG Public Health facilities.

**Hours of Work**:
Our standard hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The successful applicant will be required to work these hours on an as-needed basis. This position may also include evening or weekend work. Flexible working hours are required.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma;
- Valid "G" class driver's license with a clear driving abstract from the Ministry of Transportation;
- At least 5 years of related work experience;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills;
- Experience with painting, wall repairs, and other general maintenance and repair work is an asset.
