Yurek Specialties Limited is a state-of-the-art processing facility in London, ON, which features the latest equipment to support the processing, production, and delivery of medical supplies and infusion equipment, along with related supplies, to the Elgin, Norfolk, Oxford, London-Middlesex, Huron, Perth, Grey, Bruce and Grand River counties.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented **Demand Planner** to join our team.
In this role, you will play a critical part in the smooth execution of our order fulfillment process by verifying and releasing orders, checking inventory levels, prioritizing orders based on delivery dates, inventory availability, and delivery locations, and processing order returns.
Your ability to work efficiently and collaborate with different teams will ensure timely and accurate order processing, contributing to overall operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Order Verification and Release**: Review incoming orders for accuracy, ensure all necessary information is complete, and release them for processing according to company guidelines and customer specifications.
- **Order Prioritization**: Efficiently prioritize orders based on key factors such as delivery dates, product availability, and delivery locations to ensure optimal scheduling and timely delivery.
- **Inventory Management**: Regularly check inventory levels to ensure availability of products for order fulfillment. Work closely with the warehouse and procurement teams to identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies or shortages.
- **Processing of Order Returns**:Manage the processing of returned orders, ensuring accurate documentation, product condition verification, and inventory updates.
- **Coordination with Delivery Teams**:Liaise with delivery coordinators to ensure that orders are grouped and scheduled based on the most efficient delivery routes and customer requirements.
- **Issue Resolution**:Address any order-related issues, including delays, inventory shortages, or incorrect information. Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure swift problem resolution.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:Maintain accurate records of all orders, returns, inventory checks, and any changes or updates. Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports on order statuses, returns, and inventory levels.
**Required Qualifications and Skills**:
- Proven experience in demand planning or supply chain management
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems; experience with Microsoft NAV is a plus.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
