**THE ROLE**

eCapital is seeking a tenured Underwriter to join the team at our Team.
- **_Please note that this position requires in-office presence. Due to the nature of this role, it cannot be occupied remotely._**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Demonstrate thorough qualitative and quantitative analysis; identify, quantify, and begin to prioritize transaction risk
- Underwrite and close large factoring transactions
- Comply with risk policies and procedures
- Work with originations, portfolio management, legal, and risk partners to facilitate seamless execution
- Manages the entire “term sheet to deal close” process, both internally and with the prospect.
- Provides involvement from proposal letter stage through closing, including engaging Lawyers, Auditors, appraisers and other professionals to ensure a commercially viable structure is achieved and eCapital is legally sound from a documentary perspective.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders across all business units and be proactive in participating in strategic efforts
- Exercises independent judgment and applies prudent risk mitigation principles. Understands how and when to elevate issues when required.

**YOU BRING**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 3+ years of related work experience
- Prior experience as analyst in financial institution
- Strong technical skills including financial analysis, modeling, presentation
- Must be analytical, detail-oriented, and have strong financial acumen and financial analysis skills; strong ethics.
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
- Tact, diplomacy, strong respect for privacy/confidentiality
- Strong independent judgment and a high degree of interpersonal effectiveness to be able to deal with stakeholders across various levels both internally and externally
