**Duties**:
Duties

Project Coordination and Supervision:

- Coordinate projects and lead teams of students and staff in conducting research at a field scale level.
- Oversee research activities to document the ecological and environmental benefits of non-cropped areas, contributing to sustainable agriculture and ecological diversity in intensively cropped agricultural landscapes.

Research Site Management and Data Collection:

- Establish and maintain project research sites.
- Collect and process biological, physiological, greenhouse gases (GHG), and yield data/samples.
- Manage diverse data sets, including pollinators, carabids, avian species, soil microbial and nutrient levels, water quality, soil carbon and GHG emissions, plant surveys, biomass, and yield metrics.
- Perform tree propagation, planting, and establishment in ongoing and future projects related to agroforestry and tree intercropping.

Beneficial Insect Management and other biodiversity research:

- Process and manage beneficial insect samples and associated data collection.
- Process and manage other wildlife data collection and research

Protocol Development and Refinement:

- Establish and refine laboratory and field sample collection protocols, designs, and methods to ensure accuracy and efficiency in research activities.

Student Supervision:

- Conduct student hiring and provide supervision to ensure the successful execution of research tasks.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Perform data analysis and contribute to the preparation of reports and manuscripts.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a natural, physical or applied science with specialization in biology, entomology, agriculture, environment, or relevant discipline.
