We are currently seeking a **Junior Contract Ecologist** who will be supporting our Environment team both onsite and, in the office. This individual will have the opportunity to be part of some of our major projects. They have an aptitude to learn, some relevant field experience and knowledge, potential to work long hours and weekends.

**Location - **Toronto, ON

**Your role within the team**:

- Provide technical services in both the field and office related to environmental science.
- Working with and providing support to other members of the Environment, Permitting and Management team under the supervision and mentorship of senior technical leaders
- Carry out field work (a variety of aquatic and terrestrial studies following accepted and standard field protocols
- Maintain excellent field notes.
- Participate and contribute to a team environment and be a strong communicator both verbally and written.
- Aptitude to learn.
- Knowledge of relevant provincial and federal environmental legislation, regulations, policies, guidelines and regulatory permitting and approval requirements will be considered an asset.
- Commitment to project quality and project deadlines

- Junior level experience in environmental investigations
- Must have a valid Class G Ontario drivers’ license and access to a reliable vehicle.

- Flexible, well organized, interested in technical and personal advancement, able to carry out assignments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong verbal and written communication in English are essential.
