Position Overview:
The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth handling of inventory, order fulfillment, and staff supervision. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Weekend availability is required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Warehouse Operations:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse functions, including inventory management, order picking and packing, shipping, and receiving.
- Ensure efficient workflows and timely completion of all tasks to meet productivity and quality goals.
- Troubleshoot operational issues to maintain seamless warehouse processes.
2. Staff Supervision and Development:
- Lead, train, and oversee warehouse staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols and company standards.
- Create work schedules, monitor attendance, and manage timekeeping.
- Assist in onboarding new hires and providing continuous training to enhance staff performance.
3. Inventory Control:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
- Report inventory discrepancies and collaborate with purchasing teams to address stock issues.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of products to minimize damages.
4. Health and Safety Compliance:
- Enforce health and safety policies, conducting regular inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Ensure employees follow proper procedures for handling and moving materials.
5. Technology and Systems:
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory and process orders.
- Familiarity with Manhattan Scale WMS is preferred but not required (training will be provided).
Qualifications:
**Education**:
- Minimum College Degree. A diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is an asset.
**Experience**:
- 3+ years of warehouse experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage daily operations in a fast-paced environment.
**Skills**:
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities with hands-on involvement in warehouse tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with WMS software.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly as part of daily duties.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
Availability:
- Full-time, onsite position requiring weekend availability and flexibility during the weekdays.
