**Quality Director**:
Polycorp, located in Elora, Ontario is the industry leader in the design and manufacture of engineered polymer products for a global customer base in the Rail, Mining and Protective Linings industries. We currently require a Quality Director for our facility.

**Quality Director Position Summary**:
The Quality Director serves as the primary manager for overall quality systems to ensure customer satisfaction. This person provides leadership to a team of direct reports and assesses their performance and implements corrective actions as required, as well as works closely with engineering and Manufacturing to resolve quality problems, improve productivity and reduce costs. This role is part of the senior management team tasked with expanding the organization and driving EBITDA while ensuring safety is our priority.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with managing organizational safety as required.
- Manage all activities and documentation required to maintain ISO9001 certification such as our Quality Manual, policies, procedures, work instructions and forms.
- Perform audits on suppliers to ensure supplier quality requirements are being met.
- Assist the different process owners in communicating to the required teams on any changes to the Quality Management System.
- Liaison between the Certification body (e.g. BSI Group) and Polycorp Ltd.
- Liaison between customers and suppliers where necessary (where impacting/affecting quality issues)
- Manage the Non-conformance and the Corrective actions systems.
- Conduct quality assurance training for employees.
- Plan and manage departmental activities in accordance with agreed budgets and time scales and manage staff according to company standards.
- Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure all the required Quality assurance records are retained and managed.
- Ensure and support the decision-making process and disposition of off-spec, obsolete and outdated material/product and disposal or rework of these materials and/or products.
- Contribute to executive policy and strategy.
- Monthly reporting on Quality Metrics for Senior Management Team
- All other duties as required.

**Experience and Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standard and requirements
- demonstrated history of leading this.

**ADDITIONAL DESIRABLES - PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED**:

- Experience working in a Rubber Mfg environment.
- Knowledge of formulating, mixing, processing, and testing of rubber compounds
- Lean Master or Six Sigma Black Belt Training is an asset.
