Our business operations, including the Human Resources & Wellness department, work from a modern and flexible co-work space. We have walking trails through the forest between our buildings, access to the ocean nearby, and a network of community surrounding us.

THE OPPORTUNITY
- Respond to employee inquiries related to HR & Wellness
- Prepare biweekly payroll information for 120+ employees
- Monitor eligibility,enrolment & changes for employee programs including extended health & pension plans
- Support employees with HCM system access & processes
- Assist managers with routine payroll & HCM system processes
- Prepare & distribute job postings
- Facilitate recruitment & selection processes
- Schedule recruitment, selection & onboarding activities
- Process HR system data entry & routine reporting
- Update employee communication & recruitment channels
- Coordinate meetings including preparations of agendas, scheduling, minute taking & distribution, and follow-up action plans
- Plan, organize & participate in events internally & externally
- Prepare, update & distribute policy and procedure documentation

WHAT YOU BRING
- You are an adaptable professional, comfortable managing multiple & changing priorities in a busy environment
- You have education &/or experience in HR administration, including payroll and benefits procedures
- You engage with employees in a relationship-first service and support approach and respectful communication
- You are an intermediate-to-advanced Excel user able to prepare meaningful reports with large data sets
- You possess a proven ability to learn new technology quickly and to then support others to navigate these systems
- Experience in database processing, preferably in an HRIS/HCM system (ideally Dayforce, which we use)
- You are dedicated to incorporating our indigenous Coast Salish culture, hul’q’umi’num language & Stz’uminus ways of knowing in your professional practices & personal learning journey
- You are a collaborative team player who respects and values what each member of a Community contributes
- You are eligible for clearance of a Criminal Record Check for working with children and vulnerable persons
