**Position Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Perform feature testing of software, ensuring that functionality meets requirements.
- Test software installation and performance on a variety of platforms.
- Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, expected results, or requirements.
- Use bug tracking systems and processes to report and update bugs and test results.
- Provide technically accurate and informative written descriptions of identified issues.
- Other duties as assigned, in support of internal testing-related processes.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical/quantitative field.
- Significant programming and/or scripting experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with initiative and good judgment.
- A keen eye for visual detail and consistency and a highly analytical approach.
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to keep track of details in an extremely meticulous fashion.
- Enthusiasm for the challenge of finding and identifying bugs and inconsistencies.
- Ability to proactively maintain lines of communication in a hybrid-location team.

**Desirable**
- Previous experience with software testing.
- Previous experience with bug tracking and source control systems.
- Direct experience with virtual machines.
- Development experience in a Windows environment.
- Database experience, particularly SQL type (SQLite, MySQL)
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
- Familiarity with linux environments and tools.
- Experience with MediaWiki.
- Experience with tutorial and presentation software.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
