**Start Date**:To be determined

**Job Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent preferred.
- Current Food Handlers Course considered an asset.
- Previous experience in Health Care Food Service environment considered an asset.
- Have an understanding, promote, and practice resident-centred care.
- Availability to work all Shifts (8 hour)
- Available to work weekends, holidays, and call-ins.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated planning, organizational, prioritization and time management skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work independently.
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels of residents, staff, family, and volunteers.
- Accountability and responsibility for own actions. Motivated and ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to hold in confidence all matters pertaining to residents, employees, and the business of the organization.
- Commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety and ethical practice.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Ability to read and understand standardized recipes.
- Experience with Therapeutic diets considered an asset.
- Physically capable to perform the duties of the position including but not limited to:

- ability to lift/push in excess of 35 lbs.
- ability to withstand the demands of walking, standing, lifting, and bending for majority of the workday
- Demonstrated record to attend scheduled shift on consistent bases. Demonstrated regular attendance in current and past employment.
