We are seeking experienced Arborist Climbers (NOC 22114) who have a passion for preserving and caring for trees. As an Arborist Climber, you will be an integral member of a tree care crew with the primary responsibility of tree climbing and assisting Arborist Crew Leaders in performing all tree and shrub care services on residential and commercial properties.

**Wages**: $29-$35/hr, based on experience.

**Job type**: Full time, 40 hours per week.

**Job Location**: 3081 Norland Ave, Burnaby, British Columbia, V5B 3A9, Canada.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Perform all required ground, climbing, and aerial lift duties in support of specific job assignments, as directed by crew leader.
- Examine trees to diagnose problems and disease, prune trees to address structural issues, plant and move trees.
- Properly maintain and operate equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts).
- Learn, understand, and adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies.
- Responsible for carrying out other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader or designated supervisor, Arborist Representative, or Local Manager.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- At least 1 year of tree climbing - arborist approved climbing system and bucket operation experience in the tree care industry.
- Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Secondary (high) school graduation is required. Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscape Management, Environmental Science or a related field is preferred but not required.

**WORK SITE ENVIRONMENT, CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES**

Rural area and/or urban area at various job sites. Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions, at heights, noisy at times.

Attention to detail, physically fit, aware of body positioning during tasks, able to handle heavy loads; physically demanding, manual dexterity; bending, crouching, kneeling.
