**Responsibilities**:
PRIMARY PURPOSE

Provides senior-level operational support and expertise for the configuration, operation, maintenance, security, and administration of Computer Aided Dispatch/Automatic Vehicle Location system (CAD/AVL) and associated radio and audio systems, including its interfaces, hardware, and end to end data integrity.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Administers the configuration, maintenance, and operation including Level 1 (initial) diagnostics of the Transit Management and Communications (TMAC) system and its main components including access to all relevant customers.

Communicates and supports customers (i.e., TCOMM supervisors, Duty Managers and Senior Management) and downstream business intelligence teams in the day-to-day use of the system

Develops, administers and actions items on the IT Service Management tool and Agile DevOps board, and ensures that is operational and available to all users

Provides system security administration support and analytical services by preparing information, reports and queries and recommends changes for improvements. Maintains and updates system set-up data and tables, ensuring data integrity. Checks system audit reports and ensures that follow-up action is taken. Retrieves and provides management with confidential operational data, including audio, pertinent to operational incidents, operator performance and/or security.

Develops and delivers training programs on all aspects of the Transit Management and Communications system. This includes off-site sessions and skill-building for new and existing employees.

Determines appropriate statistical data to be measured and provides analysis and reports to other departments from the TMAC system. Retrieves and provides support for the management of confidential operational data, pertinent to operational incidents requiring investigation, operator performance and/or security, and the high-security storage of audio files.

Collaborates with and provides feedback to the vendors who support the various systems including operational day-to-day issues, upgrades, business improvements and problem resolution.

Provides routine advisory and analytical support services to all levels of staff on the TMAC system related to enquiries and requests.

**Qualifications**:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Solid planning and organizational skills to address systems information needs of multiple stakeholders.

Solid analytical skills to address systems-based requirements and perform analysis on a range of complex issues.

Solid knowledge of the capabilities and techniques pertaining to systems and related database fundamentals

Solid interpersonal and communications skills to provide advice on systems capabilities and to train other users

Solid problem-solving skills to diagnose day-to-day systems-related issues/requirements and troubleshoot solutions

Certifications in ITIL, Agile, business analysis, project management would be an asset.

**Other Information**:
Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

**Work Schedule**:
37.5 hours per week.

**Work Designation**:
Hybrid

This position offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely within B.C.

**Rate of Pay**:
Salary $86,887 - $108,608 per annum(Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
