Florist Helper

Looking for a passionate floral assistant to join our team for upcoming events This position is a casual freelance position which requires availability on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. This is a great starting position for those interested in learning about florals and the event industry as the position will be involved in tasks outside of floral arrangement as well

**Requirements**:

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and creative flair
- Ability to follow guidance via design or the floral lead
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 40lbs
- Availability on Monday and Fridays
- Must be able to work late night on weekends
- Floral or Plants Experience is an asset
- Event experience is an asset
- Ability to drive a small truck (Amazon van) is an asset

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist lead designers with creating floral arrangements
- Basic prepping and conditional flowers
- Loading and unloading floral on to the truck
- Collaborate with the lead florist to understand their preferences and vision
- Manage inventory and ensure all materials are ordered and delivered on time
- Set up and tear down floral arrangements at the event site
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the floral design area
