Pickering, Canada GFL Environmental Inc. Full time

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Schedule and dispatch calls based upon designated route, driver location and intended receiving site.
- Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion
- Distribute, collect, and review route sheets for prior days.
- Ensure coordination with other departments such as operations and other receiving sites
- Document and report customer complaints and concerns
- Attend driver meetings as required (usually 5am)
- Oversee that all employees are adhering to company policies and procedures
- Track and maintain driver training matrix. Schedule training as to not disrupt the schedule.
- Compliance with all regulatory bodies (TDG, MOL etc.)

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies**:

- Completion of high school. Post-secondary courses or diploma would be considered an asset.
- 1-2 years in a transportation, dispatch or customer service role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer focus.
- Proven ability to multi-task & ability to prioritize tasks.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Knowledge of industry an asset.

**Road Map & Goals**:

- GFL programs to learn (Geo Tab, Oms, M5, Flex)
- Familiarize yourself with every type of truck we dispatch and its capabilities
- Review driver paperwork packages, waste types and codes
- Ride along with a driver from each LOB
- Learn location of all GFL waste receiving sites and what waste types they receive
- Train to be added to the on-call schedule. (Once every 6 weeks)
- Take your time, ask questions and be a team player
