The Operations Department is seeking a full-time **Operations Foreperson**. This position is responsible for assisting the Infrastructure Supervisor with supervising roads maintenance and construction projects carried out in the designated responsibility area by the municipality and for providing on-site leadership and technical guidance. All responsibilities are performed in accordance with budgets, objectives, policies and programs approved by Council and all applicable by-laws and Ontario regulations.
- 3 years of progressive management experience in a municipality or construction related field
- Secondary School Diploma plus Certified Road Supervisor’s training preferred
- A CET or CRS designation or willing to obtain
- A valid DZ license with clean driver’s abstract
- Demonstrated knowledge of Municipal Public Works standards and levels of service
- General knowledge of gravel and asphalt road maintenance, traffic control, equipment operation and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of the _Occupational Health and Safety Act_
- Strong ability to function well under pressure, and to respond to frequently changing demands and priorities

The salary range for this position is $34.62 - $42.50 per hour based upon a 40-hour work week. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and includes a comprehensive benefit and pension plan.
